Widower Shahzad promised his late wife he would do his best for his children Hassan and Salma, especially to find a suitable husband for Salma; he selects his workmate, the dull Haroon. However, Salma has fallen for the more charismatic Imi and neglects her studies to be with him. After she asks her father to let her choose her own husband, an angry Haroon humiliates Shahzad in front of their colleagues and Shahzad eventually finds out about his daughter's secret lover.
