Four young adults go in search of the legendary Chupacabra in the Pinewood Forest of California. A series of animal mutilations has convinced them that they can gather some photographic evidence of this elusive creature. As they get to the trailhead for entering the forest, a U.S.F.S. ranger tells them that the area is closed due to dangers. They reluctantly turn back, but really agree to park not too far off and enter on their own behind his check point. Once into the area, they encounter a trio of young adults who have lost their party's fourth. They were not aware that there were dangers when they entered before there was a check point. That night, the four videographers find a mutilated coyote. The next day, as they try to reconnoiter with the other group, they find the bloody remains of their camp. The second night provides video footage of Chupacabra with fatal consequences as one-by-one they are attacked and dragged off. A research biologist tries to save the girl, but she, too, disappears when he briefly leaves her to check on a movement in the distance.—Garon Smith
