This movie follows three people who have their own issues with death. George Lonegan (Matt Damon), an American, who, able to speak to the dead and pass what they want their loved ones to know (what they were not able to say when they were alive), doesn't think it's a good thing. Marie Lelay (Cécile de France), a French journalist who was struck by a tsunami and survived, believes she actually died, which alters her personality and jeopardizes her career.
